Main Street stores your account name, email, hashed password, private street draft, published street, uploaded images, follows, saves, blocks and guestbook messages.

Your email and password are never displayed publicly. Publishing makes your street content and the images it uses visible to visitors. Draft-only images require your account.

A secure session cookie keeps you signed in for up to seven days. Optional discovery stamps live only on this device. Street position is remembered for this browsing session. Neither is used for advertising.

Local sky can start with an approximate area supplied by the network, which may be wrong when using a VPN. You can choose a city instead, turn local sky off, or explicitly allow device location. Device coordinates are rounded to two decimal places before being sent to our weather endpoint and Open-Meteo. Coordinates are not added to your account profile. A selected location lasts only in this tab; city lookups and weather responses may be cached temporarily. While device location is enabled, it can update as you move.

Guestbook messages may be reviewed by the street owner. Reporting a message sends a moderation flag to that owner. Blocking hides that author’s messages from you and prevents them from posting on your street.

Purchases and other external destinations open on their original websites, under those sites’ policies. No purchasing details are collected here.
